Everyone has that annoying friend who’s always baking and trying, just to make everyone else look bad. They may be the actual worst. Here are some easy recipes that will make it seem like you’re trying hard without actually having to put much effort in; you’ll look like a master-baker.

Peanut Butter Cookies

CAUTION: Contains nuts, DO NOT eat them if you are allergic to nuts

Ingredients:

  • 1 jar peanut butter (CAUTION: Contains nuts)
  • 1 peanut butter jar full of white or brown sugar (CAUTION: Contains trace amounts of nuts)
  • ½ cup white sugar (for rolling)
  • 2-3 eggs

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350⁰ F. Empty the jar of peanut butter into a bowl. Refill the jar with the sugar of choice and add that to the bowl. Add 2-3 eggs, depending on how large the jar of peanut butter was. Mix it up until it is all combined. Form batter into balls and roll in white sugar. Place dough on cookie sheets and press down with fork (preferably in a cute little cross pattern to add that wow factor). Bake for 10-12 minutes.

Pumpkin Muffins

These muffins are great because they are yummy, healthy, and ridiculously easy!

Ingredients:

  • 1 box spice cake mix
  • 1 15 oz can pureed pumpkin (NOT PIE FILLING)
  • 2-3 tbsp. water

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350⁰ F. Mix cake mix and pumpkin together in a bowl. Add water as needed to aid in stirring, the batter should be thick. Grease a 12 cup muffin pan or use paper liners. Fill the muffin cups 2/3 full. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Beer Bread/Beer Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 3 cups self-rising flour
  • 3 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 bottle of beer

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350⁰ F. Put flour and sugar into a large bowl. If you are under 21, have a 21+ friend bring over ONE beer. Let the friend pour the beer into the bowl with the flour and sugar. Carefully watch as they finish stirring the ingredients all together. Be carefully not to get any of the devil’s nectar near you. There are now two options for you to watch your 21+ friend do.

Loaf Form: Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan. Cook the batter for about one hour or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.

Biscuit Form: Roll the batter into balls about the size of a racquetball and place them onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for about 20 minutes or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
