Hey Kim Kardashian, You’re a Reality Star Not a Political Figure

Tiana Meador

Remember that crazy crying face, or that clip of Kim Kardashian-West swimming in the Caribbean crying about the fact that she lost her diamond earring while her sister, Kourtney Kardashian says, “Kim there’s people dying,” or something to that extent? Yes. This is the same woman who thinks anything she says about politics is profoundly enlightening.

There is no denying that the Kardashian-Jenner clan is a group of women who are incredibly business-savvy and incredibly smart at marketing themselves, and they have built an entire empire to prove it- without any college education (except Kourtney, who has a bachelor’s degree from University of Arizona). But, although savvy, this does not mean they are the most politically smart. In fact, because their entire platform is marketing and PR, Kardashian-West has tailored her political agenda to the greater population of her followers to stay on good terms- despite her raging husband, Kanye West, who the African-American community has dispelled for being a Trumper.

Kardashian-West’s most recent political splurge on Instagram is what sent me over the edge.

“For the last year, I have immersed myself in learning about the criminal justice system. I visited prisons, met with formerly incarcerated people, and helped with cases of individual injustice – including two death penalty cases. I have met with and am very supportive of Governor Newsom and his decision to help bring an end to the California Death Penalty,” her post read.

First off, “immersed” yourself? What, with all that privilege you get from your fame and billion-dollar fortune? Yeah sure, I am really sure you tried hard for that one. Then we jump to her essentially calling herself a hero for putting an end to sentences, and we end on an evident effort to push her own political agenda.

This is nothing more than Kardashian-West throwing on her perceived heroic cape and pushing her agenda.

The post continued, “Racial bias and unfairness run deep throughout the justice system but especially when it comes to the death penalty. And we should not be okay with the risk that an innocent person could be executed. I hope we can turn toward better solutions that focus more on healing victims of trauma and prioritizing fairness and justice.”

I’m sorry, but shut the hell up. “RaCiaL BiAs,” Kardashian-West shouts from the rooftops- sure, she is in an interracial marriage and has an interracial family, but she has no right to speak on the struggles these people go through, as she has grown up in privilege and privilege only, and so will her children. Thank you, next.

I agree that the analysis pre-death penalty needs more certainty, but if anything, certain executions need to take place quicker, not allow guilty trial after guilty trial, wasting money. Let’s not forget, CHARLES MANSON rotted in jail on the taxpayers’ dime after California temporarily suspended the death penalty.

Tell me why only 13 people have been executed in California, but 120 have died from other causes on death row? Oh wait, because we love wasting money!

She is also approving of a man who wants no death penalty and open borders. So when a terrorist enters the state, shoots up a school with her children in it- but then there is no death penalty, she will be totally okay with this individual living!

Wrong. She has an elitist stance- Kardashian-West above all. She is the hero. She is the savior.

Before you “fight for this country,” go on a ride along with our officers, or go to Marine boot camp. These people fight for your privilege to live above everyone. Oh, wait, you won’t, because you like the comfort they provide.

Kardashian-West is just another big-assed celebrity who has ass-backwards political ideals.
